CENTRAL STORAGE Files are held centrally on the server, rather than being distributed on PCs throughout your network. The file server runs continuously ensuring that files are always available, and acts as a single location to look for important files. |
FLEXIBLE SECURITY Files and directories held on the file server have a wide range of security protection features. Access can be given to everybody, groups of users or just a single user. Access can be read only or read/write. Access can be further controlled based on where the user is. |
USERS CAN MOVE BETWEEN PCs Since a user's files are held centrally on the file server, a user can access their files from any PC on the network simply by logging into the PC. |
OFF SITE ACCESS The file server can provide access to files from remote offices, users on the move, from a user's homes and other remote locations. Security restrictions can be put in place so that a user in a remote location has less access compared to when they are in the office. |

INTEGRATION WITH BACKUP SERVER The file server integrates with the Backup Server allowing features such as browsable backups for easy recovery and off site backup replication for protection against disasters such as hardware theft or fire. |
